Difficult routes in the Fassa valley

Monzoni Valley – Forcella Vallaccia - View of Cima Undici (Peak 11)

Points of interest: Baita Monzoni, Taramelli refuge – very panoramic view of Cima Undici (Peak 11), Selle Rosengarten Pass, Antermoia, Colac, Costabella Chain, etc., Forcella Costella, Vallaccia refuge.

 Route time: 4-5 hours

 Difference in altitude: 600 m in ascent; 900 m in descent

Piz Boè

You start at the Lupo Bianco hotel, taking a bus or using your own means of transport to get to the the Pordoi Pass.

You then take the cable car up to Sass Pordoi and descend on foot until you reach the fork. You then follow the plateau, before taking the equipped trail until you reach the Capanna Fassa al Piz Boè refuge at an altitude of 3,152 m.

From here, you descend on the opposite side until you reach the Boè refuge.

From the refuge, follow the signs for the Lasties Valley, taking footpath 647.

Once you reach the Pian Schiaveneis area, you descend an easy stretch of path 647 until you arrive at the Lupo Bianco hotel.

Route time: 7 hours

Difference in altitude: 300 m in ascent; 1,500 in descent

Attrezzato le Scalette trail with Scalieret Peak

Description of route: Rosengarten “God’s field” with views of the Larsec group, the Vajolet refuge, the Vajolet Valley, Scalieret Peak, the Principe refuge, the Antermoia Pass and the Agnello peaks.

 Route time: 6 - 8 ore circa
